Rufino Tamayo sets auction record

Rufino Tamayo’s, Troubadour recently sold at Christie’s for $7.2 million, breaking the $5.6 million record that had been held by fellow Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. This goes to prove that Latin American contemporary art continues to be of growing importance throughout the art world.
